An evolution of the best-selling Alpha loudspeakers, the Focal Alpha 80 Evo powered studio monitor is built to meet the needs of even the most demanding professional recording studios. The largest in the Alpha Evo lineup, Alpha 80 Evo speakers feature a 1″ (25mm) aluminum tweeter and an 8″ (20cm) woofer with a Slatefiber cone. Developed and manufactured in Focal’s workshops in France, Slatefiber cones are made from recycled carbon fiber and offer improved dynamics and tonal neutrality. Delivering impressive SPLs and deep low-end extension, Alpha 80 Evo monitors are ideal for mid-sized or large studios.

VERSATILE I/O MEETS ADVANCED FEATURES

In addition to traditional a balanced XLR input, Focal Alpha 80 Evo speakers also feature an unbalanced TRS input as well as an unbalanced RCA input, enabling you to connect up to three audio sources simultaneously. Plus, the built-in sensitivity switch offers settings for 0 dB or + 6 dB to accommodate a variety of input sources. A switchable auto stand-by mode automatically powers down Alpha Evo monitors after a set period of time, saving you money on energy costs and preventing unnecessary wear and tear. Rear-panel EQ controls make it easy to dial in balanced sound when placing Focal 80 Evo speakers near a wall or other reflective source via a dedicated low-frequency shelf offering ±6 dB below 250 Hz and a high-frequency shelf offering ±3 dB above 4.5 kHz.

PRECISION FRENCH ENGINEERING

Focal Alpha 80 Evo studio monitors are carefully constructed to ensure even, consistent sound at both low and high volumes. Focal’s custom drivers deliver an extended frequency response from 38 Hz up to 22 kHz with a wide, balanced sweet spot that sounds the same throughout the entire room. A powerful 80 W amp drives the woofer, while a separate 35 W amp powers the tweeter, working together to deliver a maximum SPL of up to 106 dB. Alpha 80 Evo monitors feature a 5/8″ (15mm) thick MDF cabinet, internal braces and a custom bass-reflex design to ensure consistent sound in any setting—even the most cramped spaces!
